Great sounds from the world of music

- all played on the King of Instruments!

An Organ Recital can be as traditional or as varied as you like it!

It doesn’t have to just consist of music written for the organ (although there is of course much good organ music to be really appreciated!). There are many arrangements of popular classics as well as more contemporary pieces which, when played well on a magnificent instrument, can make for great recital music.

Consider the following blend of organ music:

... alongside some non-organ music:

What time of day? Organ recitals don’t just have to take place in an evening - when some of your potential audience may be less keen to venture out!  How about morning, lunchtime or afternoon recitals … followed by some light refreshments - Soup and Roll? Cream Tea?

Are you part of a church that is undertaking fundraising activities for a major project at present? Heating? New hall? Lighting? Even an Organ overhaul? You could hire an organist for a recital, pay his/her fee and, with a properly advertised and well-supported event, still have something worthwhile left over to put towards your target ... and an enjoyable social time for all as well - perhaps for some who may not ordinarily step foot into a church building.

Where is the organ console?  Is it visible to the audience, or is it tucked away behind the choir pews or up in a gallery … behind a curtain?  How about making it visible - projected on a screen for all to see?
